Blue

Two friends in the Korean Navy, Lee and Kim are both part of an elite diving squad, specialising in emergency deep sea salvage dives. Lee is straight-laced and takes his duties seriously, while Kim treats the Navy as a lark. When Kang, a diving instructor and Kim's former girlfriend, is posted to the unit, this creates tension between the friends as they compete for Kang's affections. The tension is heightened when Lee is promoted ahead of Kim, creating a rivalry between the two. Kim's gung-ho approach to diving, and the danger he poses for himself (and his fellow divers), leads to further problems. Matters come to a head when an incident at sea causes the sinking of a submarine, requiring the unit to attempt a dangerous salvage rescue of the sunken submarine.

Swindler in My Mom's House (2007)

Hae-ju is just 15 years older than her daughter Ok-hee. Despite her pretty looks that have the young men of her town restless, she is often mistaken as the daughter because of her severely naive nature. But she is still a respectable mother who raises her daughter alone on the money she makes from her beer pub and bed & breakfast guest room. One day, a man from Seoul comes to stay at her guest room. Tall, good looking Duk-geun steals Hae-ju’s heart from the day he arrives. Hae-ju dreams of romance with him. She cooks eggs for his every meal and hand-washes his laundry in hopes of being noticed by him. Ok-hee is not pleased with the way her mom is around Duk-geun. And Sung-chil, a town bachelor who has a crush on Hae-ju, starts to sense something between the two and also tries to stop them. On top of that, Duk-geun is a swindler with something totally different in mind. After 15 years of waiting, will Hae-ju’s last chance at romance come true?

Windstruck

Opposite attract in Windstruck, the successful 2004 romantic comedy/drama from writer/director Kwak Jae Yong, the man behind the 2001 box office mega hit My Sassy Girl! Jang Hyuck, star of such films as Volcano High and Please Teach Me English, takes on the role of Myung Woo, a mild mannered teacher who gets mistaken for a purse snatcher while chasing the real culprit down! To Myung Woo’s surprise, he finds himself arrested by Gyeong Jin, a gung-ho, tough-as-nails young cop played by none other than Jeon Ji Hyun, star of My Sassy Girl and Il Mare.

Although this hilarious case of mistaken identity is eventually sorted out, Myung Woo has to return to the police station only a few days later in order to carry out some “community service” by accompanying a police officer while he walks his day-to-day beat. However, Myung Woo is shocked to learn that he’s going to be following “Dirty Harriet” herself, Gyeong Jin! After spending the entire night handcuffed to his sexy, but dangerous partner as she chases down no-good criminals, Myung Woo begins to discover that he’s falling for the brassy, and yet, sassy law enforcement agent! But as a relationship begins to develop between the two, will Gyeong Jin’s over-enthusiastic police tactics get in the way of her love for Myung Woo? Is “Happily Ever After” even a possibility for these two? The answers to these questions and more are waiting to be discovered in Windstruck, a film which many fans regard as an unofficial companion piece to My Sassy Girl!
